Designer: Rottet Building: 1600 Smith
Rottet Studio’s deformalized, minimalistic space easily adapts to accommodate various work methods and encourage spontaneous interactions. The 5,305 sq. ft. suite has a neutral color palette for the user to create their own brand, and features strong angles and raw textures like tectum, an acoustical material, coupled with refined finishes for contrasting design definition. A feature unique to Rottet Studio’s office is the “notch” running up 1600 Smith tower, that is utilized in the entry and positioned to drive users towards the Houston skyline view. The space’s large communal space is multi-functional as a standard conference room, classroom layout, team game room, etc. and features graphic shades with images of lunar landscapes – an added evocation to the future.
