Designer: Inventure Design Building: 1600 Smith
Inventure Design’s 3,576 sq. ft. space facilitates a ‘co-working’ environment, which is an idea trending all over the city. One of the space’s signature features is a serpentine work bar that weaves along punched window openings, designed to create a sense of balance, while providing versatile work spaces. The design utilizes the theory of “yin and yang” to address the contrasting needs of modern space users – transparency vs. privacy, light space vs. dark space, open space vs. closed space. The suite features communal space for inter-office connections and glass walls for transparency. Ceilings were removed to let in more light and the finishes are simple to allow the user to transform the space into their own.
